hey i know it´s easy to dismiss Oscar Wilde as a careless dandy but he was Irish, socialist and radically gay in Victorian England and when he says stuff like “morality is simply the attitude we adopt towards people we personally dislike” it´s a highly political stance
@billiejoearmstrong: this is pretty much what it looked like the first time me and @mikedirnt played together.. only we were playing “photograph” by def leppard not “minority” and that’s Mr cool @trecool in the distance.. from west contra costa county to England.. 1985? or 2017?

Ornate Embroidery by Humayrah Bint Altaf
Bedford, England-based embroidery artist Humayrah Bint Altaf composes stunning pieces that adorn ordinary piece of cloth into exquisite pieces of art,
She incorporates endearing little insects like the beatles, or a majestic butterfly flapping its wings, a colorful tree with its entwined leaves and branches, all completed using not only a plethora of vibrant Rococo threads but also tiny metallic beads or thin cords, beautiful embellishments to these creative endeavors. She seeks inspiration from Mother Nature around her, after taking long walks to the woods near her home, gathering leaves, twigs, feathers and all tiny things that she can preserve at home and call them her muse. Though a fashion designer, Altaf had the chance to study at the Royal School of Needlework that helped her acquire skills as an embroidery artist.
See all of her intricate works on Instagram or buy them in their Etsy shop.

This image from the New England Journal of Medicine shows the effect of sunlight on this truck driver. He’s been exposed to 25 years of direct sunlight thanks to his job but only on the left side of his face. So we get a first-hand view at how much more aged human skin looks when bombarded with sunlight over the years.
